This eco-friendly fair trade shop sells handicrafts made by disabled and disadvantaged artisans using recycled materials. The concept has several benefits - it helps breathe new life into discarded plastics, recycles scrap materials while generating work, and empowers disabled artisans to earn a living and develop their skills.
Their unique products are also sold at SPIRAL Foundation fundraisers and retail outlets in the United States and in select hotels in Hue. All income generated by the sale of items goes directly to artisans, who in turn help others in greater need by funding heart surgery for people born with congenital heart disease in Thua Thien Hue province.
The business model enables disadvantaged people to help themselves and others and promotes environmental care.
